Fixed Wireless Access

Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) systems, including antennas and components, allow for connectivity in homes, businesses, remote areas and for temporary use via a cellular connection. FWA systems can provide primary connectivity as well as providing ‘Failover’ support in the event of a hard-wired connection going down.

As the demand for connectivity increases, new technologies such as Fixed Wireless Access are emerging which offer a more flexible approach to wireless connectivity.   

At TE Connectivity (TE), our FWA antennas can be utilized in both commercial and consumer/home user applications.

They can offer primary connectivity in cases where a wired connection is not available. They can also be used for failover support, preventing connectivity dropouts, in the event of a hard wired connection failing.

RP20 pro Directional Fixed Wireless Access Antennas

The RP20 pro (L000379-XX) antenna family from TE provides high-performance connectivity for current and emerging 4G and 5G frequencies.
 

The incorporated 2x2 MIMO technology, and consistent radiation patterns means that the RP20 pro can provide enhanced data rates and bandwidth with extremely consistent performance.
 

There are 2 and 3 antenna port variants available with the 3-port models including GNSS coverage. Each model covers 617 - 6000 MHz and supports all major global 5G/LTE bands.
 

RP20 pro antennas are suitable for use globally on cellular networks and with any network operator. Connector options are available to fit most common industrial routers/gateways currently on the market.
 

Designed with a stylish housing and supplied with all necessary mounting hardware, this antenna is intended for professional installations of Fixed Wireless Access applications. They can be mounted to a pole/mast or directly to a wall using the mounting hardware provided.

RP40 lite 4x4 MIMO antennas provide high-performance connectivity for current and emerging 4G and 5G frequencies over the 617-960 and 1427-6000 MHz frequency ranges, when used in conjunction with a cellular router or gateway.

 

They can enhance connections in retail premises, small businesses, remote locations etc. with cellular networks resulting in higher data speed and bandwidth.

Our small and highly portable RP20 lite antennas are highly modular and can be used in multiple settings to provide connectivity in a home, office, remote location or for temporary use. 

When used in conjunction with a cellular access point or router our hinged swivel dipole antennas can e used in both indoor and outdoor locations.

Commercial / Professional Use: Primary Connectivity & Failover

Our high gain MIMO FWA antennas, omnidirectional access point antennas and higed dipole antennas are used by OEM’s worldwide to provide outdoor and indoor connectivity using Fixed Wireless Access systems.

 

These types of FWA systems are used to provide either primary connectivity for locations that do not have access to a hard-wired fibre or cable connection.

 

The secondary and perhaps more important application is the provision of Failover support. In the event that a hard-wired connection disrupts or goes down our antennas provide a secondary connection via cellular frequencies. In this instance a business will be able to offer continuous connectivity to system such as Point of Sale, ordering kiosks etc that depend and a stable connection. This prevents the location from suffering any loss of business due to a failed connection.

 

Our antennas are available in a range of frequencies, sizes, connector options and colours. With a wide range of customization options we are able to solve  many of our customers complex connectivity challenges.
