IEC Connector Filter Packages For High-Power Applications

London - April 25, 2008 - Alongside its IEC connector filter packages for standard and medical applications, Tyco Electronics now also offers a filter for high-power applications. The EJT filter series' two-stage construction, improved HF screening and high-quality components make it an ideal solution for noise attenuation within the high frequency range of up to 1 GHz. The components can be used in computer systems, and plasma and LCD screens which are connected to mains power using IEC connectors.

These compact, chassis-mount filters use single-stage filtering to achieve the high differential mode performance required in industrial machinery in noisy environments. Low leakage current of only 0.16 mA at 120 VAC/60 Hz also makes the filter well suited for portable equipment.

Available with current ratings of 10, 15, and 20 A, the filters are rated for voltages up to 250 VAC. Designed for global applications, they are UL Recognized, CSA Certified and VDE Approved.
