IS-Rayfast Selected UK & Ireland Specialist Distributor of the Year 2007

London - April 2, 2008 - Tyco Electronics has selected IS-Rayfast as its UK & Ireland Specialist Distributor of the Year 2007. The award honours the distributor's class-leading increase in the value of sales of Tyco Electronics products over the last year. Introducing Durable, UV-Resistant Labels For Solar Panels

HARRISBURG, Pa. - February 1, 2008 - A new series of preprinted labels from Tyco Electronics offer a durable construction for use in the harsh environments of solar applications. The labels use a UV-resistant ink that will not fade. Acrylic-based adhesive-backed base materials allow a durable permanent connection, while lamination adds additional protection against UV radiation, rain, humidity, temperature and salt spray. The labels resist fading, cracking or adhesive breakdown for over 10 years.

Recommended for identifying DC disconnects and inverters per the National Electric Code, the labels are preprinted and are available in four formats with common warnings required in photovoltaic applications. Labels can be applied at the factory or in the field to painted surfaces that are smooth or textured. UL approval is pending on the RoHS-compliant labels.

New Self-Laminating Labels Offer Portability

SELF-LAMINATING LABEL AND DISPENSER SYSTEM

Tyco Electronics Corporation has introduced WCD self-laminating label dispensers. WCD label dispensers contain write-on self-laminating labels that can be used in electronics, industrial applications and general-purpose labelling applications where the protective attributes of self-laminating labels are desired. WCD dispensers are pocket sized and contain a roll of pre-cut self-laminating cable markers. Each marker has a white mark able area that is laminated by the clear portion of the label as it is wrapped and secured around a wire or cable.
