PolySwitch Portfolio Expands With New 0603 Device

MENLO PARK, CA -- Nov. 17, 2009 -- Tyco Electronics announced today the addition of a new industry-standard 0603 device to its popular line of surface-mount PolySwitch™ devices. The femtoSMDC016F device consumes less than half the board space of prior-generation devices and helps protect sensitive electronics from damage caused by overcurrent and overtemperature events. CPC medical connectors feature a grip area with push-pull action, gold-plated contacts for a reliable connection and a black or grey lightweight housing which is resistant to shock, drop and chemically induced cracking.Â Sterilization is possible by numerous methods including Autoclave, EtO and by STERRAD and CIDEX+ disinfectants.
