HARRISBURG, Pa. - Feb. 25, 2008 - Tyco Electronics' new RAPID LOCK connectors offer quick connect/disconnect capabilities for torque-less power applications. The connector can be used as a replacement for threaded studs, thus eliminating any loose nuts with no fretting or heat rise.

Using proven ELCON CROWN BAND technology, Tyco Electronics' RAPID LOCK connector handles currents from 60 to 250 Amps and is available for wire sizes from 2.5 to 95mm2.

The RAPID LOCK connector is available with color coding for easy identification, includes protective cable and crimp covers, and works with industry standard crimp tooling.

CROWN CLIP Bus Bar Connector Has 350 Amp, Hot Plug, Float Mount & Blind-Mate Capabilities

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Feb. 25, 2008 - Tyco Electronics' compact CROWN CLIP bus bar connectors are designed for high current bus bar power distribution applications. The connectors are available in both single and dual pole, with float mount fixing to allow a six-degree misalignment for blind mating.

New MINIPAK HDL Connector Combines High Density, Low Profile and Blind-Mateability

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Feb. 25, 2008 - Tyco Electronics announced a new enhanced version of its popular MULTI-BEAM XL power distribution connector system. The MULTI-BEAM XLE product delivers over 20% more current than standard MULTI-BEAM XL power distribution connectors and offers more than two times the durability rating of competing products. The new connector will carry up to 43 Amps per contact as compared to the 35 Amp rating for the MULTI-BEAM XL product. The new contact has been designed into the right angle and vertical pcb plugs, as well as the cable mount plugs. In addition, the new connector offers a "low power" contact, which occupies 50% less space than the traditional contacts.

The 5/12Vin PicoTLynx converter is designed to provide higher power, higher density, and faster transient response in a wide variety of board mounted power applications.

The 5V/12V PicoTLynx converter series supports a wide input voltage range of 4.5 to 14V and provides a tightly regulated output voltage from 0.59V to 5.5Vdc.
