Tyco Electronics Introduces IEC-type Contactors

HARRISBURG, Pa. â€” May 5, 2008 â€” Tyco Electronics has introduced a new family of IEC-type contactors. PBC series P&B contactors are offered in various models to switch AC3 (motor) loads from nine amps through 80 amps and AC1 (resistive) loads from 25 amps through 125 amps.Â All models are designed to be conveniently snapped onto a DIN rail or mounted to a panel using screws.

London - April 11, 2008 - The range of Axicom RF relays from Tyco Electronics has been extended to include a shielded 3GHz relay and a 6GHz relay to address the market requirements of increased frequency switching of analogue signals and transmission rates of digital signals. New HF3S and HF6 are developments of the well established HF3 relay and have been designed for 50â„¦ or 75â„¦ impedance applications and a frequency range of 200MHz up to 6GHz.

By stocking the most popular M39016 relays in the basic style -- such as a generic TO-5 can or .100" grid -- Tyco Electronics can quickly and easily finish the relay into a specific configuration. Finishing encompasses trimming and forming the leads, adding spreaders and washers, and otherwise converting the relay into a specific part. One Phantom relay can be configured into as many as 60 part numbers.

Phantom relays are tested to M-level requirements and marked to fulfill QPL traceability requirements. The final configured parts are electrically tested on an AQL basis.

Having recently extended its range of polarized two pole telecom/signal relays, Tyco Electronics now offers one of the broadest and smallest ranges of 4th generation telecom relays in one package. Benefiting from a low profile (5.65 mm) and slim case design (10x6 mm), the AXICOM IM series relay range now features a highly sensitive version (100mW coil), an ultra highly sensitive version (50mW coil), a highly dielectric version (1.5kV rms / 2.5kV pulse) and a high current version (5A). A shielded version is available upon request. All new IM series relays plus the standard version fit on the same pad layout.

These new premium sockets feature screwless clamps allowing for direct mounting of solid wires without any tools, saving installation time and operating costs. Stranded wires - with or without bootlace crimps - can also be used.

Plug In Relay Saves Power

A new range of interface plug-in power relays for panel board and mechanical engineering applications has recently been released by Tyco Electronics as an extension to the successful range of Schrack RT relays. New XT series plug-in relays include one pole (1 CO contact, 16A rated current) and two pole (2 CO contacts, 8A rated current) versions. Very low coil power of only 400mW for the DC coil version and only 750mVA for the AC coil version make new XT devices the most power saving plug-in relays in their class.
