Water-blocked cables offer exceptional performance by passing the ASTM D1411 synthetic seawater test, which is the most rigorous test method for evaluating the water tightness of cables. Physically the cables use 24 AWG copper conductors and foamed polyethylene insulation.

With a 150-ohm impedance and transmission rates up to 12 Mb/s, the cables fully support PROFIBUS connectors, devices, and standards. They are well suited to communications, control, and instrumentation applications in vessels ranging from military and cruise ships to freighters and tankers.
