As President of the Wireless Systems segment, a leading innovator of wireless technology for critical communications, radar and defense applications, Mr. Dougherty directs sales and marketing, research and development, product management, and operations on a global basis, as well as federal and state lobbying and public affairs activities for the segment.

Prior to joining Tyco Electronics in October 2006, Mr. Dougherty worked 25 years for Motorola, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of the Voice & Data Solutions Group for Motorola’s Connected Home Solutions (CHS) business. At Motorola, he also served as Vice President and General Manager of Transmission Networks Systems, General Manager for North American VoIP, and Vice President of Marketing for Motorola Broadband's Transmission Network Systems business unit.

Mr. Dougherty holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, U.S., and a Master of Business Administration from Villanova University, Pennsylvania, U.S.
