Tom Lynch is the Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of Tyco Electronics, one of the world’s largest providers of engineered electronic components, network solutions, wireless systems and undersea telecommunication systems. With fiscal 2007 sales of US$13.5 billion, Tyco Electronics has nearly 100,000 employees in more than 45 countries.
Mr. Lynch joined Tyco International in September 2004 as President of Tyco Engineered Products & Services (TEPS). With 2005 revenue of $6.5 billion, TEPS is the world’s leading manufacturer of industrial valves and controls. He was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Tyco Electronics in January 2006. Mr. Lynch joined Tyco from Motorola, where he served as Executive Vice President of Motorola, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Motorola’s Personal Communications sector, a US$12 billion leading supplier of cellular handsets. Prior to this role, he served as President of the Integrated Electronics Systems sector, of which automotive was the largest market segment. Prior to Motorola, Mr. Lynch was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Satellite and Broadcast Network Systems segment for General Instrument Corporation. Mr. Lynch serves as a Director of the U.S.-China Business Council, the leading organization of U.S. companies engaged in business with the People’s Republic of China. Mr. Lynch has a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from Rider University, New Jersey, U.S. He also serves on the Tyco Electronics Board of Directors. About Tyco Electronics |
