Bob Scott is Executive Vice President and General Counsel responsible for all legal affairs of Tyco Electronics, one of the world’s largest providers of engineered electronic components, network solutions, wireless systems and undersea telecommunication systems. With fiscal 2007 sales of US$13.0 billion, Tyco Electronics has approximately 92,000 employees in approximately 50 countries.
Mr. Scott also heads the Strategy and Business Development Department and is responsible for the company’s merger and acquisition strategy. Mr. Scott joined Tyco International in 2004 as Vice President, Operations and Planning and in September 2004 joined Tyco Engineered Products & Services as Vice President, Strategy and Business Planning to lead the development of its organic growth plans. In January 2006, Mr. Scott became Senior Vice President of Corporate Planning for Tyco International and led the separation of Tyco into three separate public companies. Prior to joining Tyco, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff of Motorola’s Integrated Electronics Systems sector. Previously, he was Senior Vice President and General Counsel of General Instrument Corporation.
