Rob Shaddock serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Tyco Electronics, one of the world’s largest providers of engineered electronic components, network solutions, undersea telecommunication systems and specialty products. With fiscal 2009 sales of US$10.3 billion, Tyco Electronics has approximately 75,000 employees in 50 countries.
As CTO, Mr. Shaddock works closely with the company’s business unit and technology leaders to enhance TE’s overall technology capabilities and ensure full leverage of the company’s rich inventory of technologies. He leads Tyco Electronics’ Engineering Council, which guides the company’s overall technology strategy and product development processes, and the overall development of the technology community. He is also responsible for TE’s Technology organizations in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Menlo Park, California. Mr. Shaddock joined Tyco Electronics from Motorola, where he was Senior Vice President of the company’s Consumer Products business. Before that, he was CTO for Motorola’s Mobile Devices business. Earlier in his career, Mr. Shaddock served as CEO of Blue Wave Systems, a developer of leading-edge technology for the telecommunications and military industries.
