HARRISBURG, Pa. - June 26, 2006 - Tyco Electronics has released a new Ultraminiature Coax Connector and Cable Assembly (UMCC) series of products. Building upon the success of the popular SSMT series, this new lower profile version meets the growing demand for next generation wireless applications such as Wireless Internet, RFID, Bluetooth, Mobile Antennas, and Cellular Handsets. The UMCC offering is an excellent fit for 50 Ohm systems, offering one of the lowest profiles in the industry (2mm off the board), easy snap on/off mating, an extremely small footprint (3mm x 3mm), and superior electrical performance through 6 GHz.
Tyco Electronics' UMCC connectors and cable assemblies are available as double-ended jumpers and inter-series cable assemblies for 0.80mm and 1.37mm diameter single shield and 1.32mm diameter double shielded cable, and PCB jack receptacles for board mount applications. Other available options include several between-series adapters. Sample quantities of the connector and cable assemblies are now available.
