Tyco Electronics has introduced its new family of MADISON CABLE National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 79 compliant cables, which meet the requirements of Chapter 12 of the NFPA 79 standard. Specific applications for the cables include factory automation, machine manufacture and industrial machinery.

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Sept. 21, 2009 -- Tyco Electronics has introduced its new family of MADISON CABLE National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 79 compliant cables, which meet the requirements of Chapter 12 of the NFPA 79 standard. Specific applications for the cables include factory automation, machine manufacture and industrial machinery.

The new cables have been designed and tested to resist harsh chemicals found in many modern industrial processes and facilities. Key features of the cables include their flexibility and durability -- making them suitable for tough industrial environments. In addition, the cables are ideal in industrial machines operating with a nominal voltage of 600 volts or less. The NFPA 79 cables are available in various constructions and conductor sizes.

Tyco Electronics also offers a full range of MADISON CABLE products that comply with the NFPA 79 standard. The family of products includes UL listed power and control cables rated as MTW, TC, and TC-ER.
