The Automotive Industry has increased requirements for a more reliable electrical contacts. The Tyco Electronics MCON-1.2 contact system can be used as a sealed or unsealed version. The MCON 1.2 contacts have eight defined contact points (two contact points on each of the four independent beams), which is characteristic of the contact spring technology, and increases safety margin at high vibration loads. The 15 Ampere at 80°C in combination with a 1.2 mm x 0.63 mm tab contact allows for reliable transmissions to be carried. The robust closed box design guarantees optimized protection of the springs. Any distortion of the springs will be prevented by an integrated, overstress protection feature. Tyco Electronics offers a spectrum of hand tools and fully automated leadmakers for fast and economic processing.
