Tyco Electronics is pleased to announce that effective August 1, 2009, both the minimum order quantities (MOQs) and standard package quantities for Potter & Brumfield time delay relays and voltage sensors are being reduced to six pieces.
Before this adjustment, MOQs for these products, largely sold through the distribution channel, were not standardized. They ranged from six pieces to as high as 20 pieces.
"This smaller tray quantity should allow our distributors to more conveniently order a broad range of these relatively high mix / low volume products and maintain them in their inventories to meet customer requirements," said Dave Thomas, product manager for these lines.
P&B time delay relays have long been regarded by many as a leading line. They continue to be broadly used in industrial machinery, material handling equipment and other applications where a user wants to add timing control to a process without adding the higher complexity of a programmable controller.
"Due to the nature of these products and their applications, there is a significant replacement market for plug-in time delay relays, and there a many variations of them," Thomas noted. "Consequently, this lower standard order quantity should be particularly attractive to Tyco Electronics authorized distributors with a focus on maintenance, repair and operations."
The involved product series include:
- CNT series multifunction time delay relays
- CNS series multifunction time delay relays
- CNM5 series multifunction time delay relays
- CN1 series on delay time delay relays
- CB series discrete function time delay relays
- CD series discrete function time delay relays
- CG series discrete function time delay relays
- CH series discrete function time delay relays
- CK series discrete function time delay relays
- CL series delay on operate time delay relays
- CU series delay on operate time delay relays
- CR series recycle time delay relays
- CS series voltage sensors
