EMBARQ Inks Agreement to Use, Distribute Tyco Electronics Outside Plant Equipment

FUQUAY-VARINA, NC - June 16, 2008 - The Telecom Outside Plant segment of Tyco Electronics announced today an agreement to become a major provider of outside plant products for both EMBARQ Corporation (NYSE: EQ) and EMBARQ Logistics. The agreement allows Tyco Electronics to expand its coverage by working with EMBARQ Logistics, while providing EMBARQ itself with products that help ensure its network is best-in-class.

EMBARQ Logistics will begin selling Tyco Electronics outside plant products to its customers effective immediately.
