HSSDC2 Products Overview


The HSSDC2Find in Catalogconnector isdesigned to facilitate data transfer rates up to 5.0 Gbit/second. Thenew connector employs a smallerform factor than previous HSSDCproducts. Plugs are die cast with astamped latch/groundspring,impedance controlled PCBand seven high-speed contact pads.The receptacles offer six chassisground locations, six PCB grounding/retention contacts, fourgrounding contacts for cable toplug and a metal EMI/RFI shield.The plug and receptacle utilizepolarization and keying.

The connector can accept cablefrom 22 to 30AWG and employsan overmolded strain relief. Theconnector is designed for 250 matingcycles and employs gold-over-nickelplating on signal contacts.The connector offers positive latchingand will maintain 2.5Gbit/second data rates up to 15meters.

The HSSDC2 connector meets the InfiniBand TM 1.1 Spec for a highperformance interconnect capableof operating at 2.5 Gb/s withfuture capability to 5.0 Gb/s. 2.5Gb/s . . . and beyond!!
