Description
AMP's Fluorescent Tube Socket is a one-piece socket featuring crimp-on, snap-in contacts or terminals. The contacts are
crimped to the ballast or starter leads and snapped into the tube socket housing. This eliminates the costly and time-consuming
process of splicing ballast or starter leads to tube socket housing leads.
The phenolic housing accepts T-8 and T-12 fluorescent tubes with medium bipin base and will accommodate a variety of mounting
methods. The use of crimp-on, snap-in contacts eliminates the need for complicated inventories of tube sockets with various
lead lengths. These contacts will accommodate wire range #20-16 AWG [0.5-1.4 mm²] and are available in continuous strip
form for high-speed, large-volume automachine application.
