Product Feature Selector

Tyco Electronics offers among the widest selection of surface-mount fuses available for addressing a broad range of overcurrent protection applications. Helping to prevent costly damage and promote a safe environment for electronic and electrical equipment, Raychem chip fuses provide performance stability to support applications with current ratings from .5ADC up to 20ADC.

Tyco Electronics also offers the Raychem telecom FT600 fuse for telecommunications applications. This telecom fuse helps comply with North American overcurrent protection requirements, including Telcordia, GR-1089, TIA-968-A (formerly FCC Part 68), and UL60950 3rd edition.

Products

  • Fast-Acting Chip FusesFind in Catalog    More Information
Raychem fast-acting chip fuses help protect equipment from damage caused by overcurrent conditions when relative quick clear or open times are required in DC power applications. The fuses' monolithic, multilayer design provides some of the highest current ratings on the market and the smallest footprint. Available in industry standard 0402, 0603 and 1206 chip sizes, they also reduce fuse aging, improve product reliability and resilience, and enhance high-temperature performance in a wide range of circuit protection designs. As RoHS-compliant and halogen-free, Raychem fast-acting fuses offer strong arc suppression characteristics and facilitate the development of more reliable consumer electronics. Applications include laptops, multimedia devices, cell phones, and other portable electronics.

  • Slow-Blow Chip FusesFind in Catalog    More Information
Raychem slow-blow chip fuses help provide protection from damage caused by overcurrent events on systems that experience large and frequent current surges as part of their normal operation. The fuses' monolithic, multilayer design provides performance over temperature and cycling to protect in overcurrent conditions that may occur in power supplies, capacitor filter banks, LCDs (Liquid Crystal Display), backlight inverters, electric motors and portable electronics. These surface-mount devices are available in industry standard 1206 and 0603 chip sizes. As RoHS-compliant, halogen-free devices, Raychem's slow-blow chip fuses help to support the increased environmental regulations placed upon today's components.

  • High-Current Rated Chip FusesFind in Catalog    More Information
Raychem high-current chip fuses support surface-mount applications where space is critical and high current is required. Available in an industry standard 1206 size, the devices' high reliability and strong arc suppression characteristics help make them suitable for overcurrent protection of power supplies, servers, communications equipment, voltage regulator modules, as well as other high-current, small-size applications. These components are RoHS-compliant and halogen-free to meet increasing environmental regulations.

  • Telecom FusesFind in Catalog    More Information
The Raychem telecom FT600 fuse helps telecommunications equipment manufacturers comply with North American overcurrent protection requirements, including Telcordia, GR-1089, TIA-968-A (formerly FCC Part 68), and UL60950 3rd edition. Raychem telecom fuses offer low temperature-rise performance under sneak current fault events to help prevent damage to circuit traces or multilayer boards. The devices' low profile and small footprint make them suitable for high-density and space-constrained applications. When used in conjunction with SiBar thyristor devices, FT600 fuses help designers implement a coordinated overcurrent/overvoltage solution and comply with regulatory standards.
