Part Status Definitions

Part Status Definitions Active

The ACTIVE status code indicates a product is currently active at a Tyco Electronics site or sites globally. Some products may only be readily available for a region or locale. These products may be standard inventory items or be built to order only. These active products may become inactive at the sole discretion of Tyco Electronics, as stated in Tyco Electronics' Terms and Conditions.

Pending Obsolescence

The PENDING OBSOLESCENCE status code indicates a product is being phased out of active status.

Obsolete / Superseded

The OBSOLETE or SUPERSEDED status code indicates a product is no longer available or no longer recommended for use. SUPERSEDED products have a recommended replacement product available. OBSOLETE products do not have an exact replacement. Please use the customer drawing and our Product Comparison feature to validate use in your application.

Preliminary

The PRELIMINARY status code indicates a product has recently been introduced. Please verify the availability of products showing this status by calling the Product Information Center at 1-800-522-6752 or use our Online Support System.

Restricted

The RESTRICTED status code indicates a product is designed for a specific customer. This product is only available for sale to that customer, therefore, details about the product are limited. For more information, please contact your sales person or use our Online Support System.
