The Tyco Electronics' ELCON Drawer Series connectors are two-piece connectors designed for a wide variety of blind-mate docking applications. The connectors mix a variety of power and signal contacts in one robust housing. The housings have either molded-in or optional guide-pins for smooth blind-mate applications. The Drawer Series connectors incorporate Tyco Electronics' ELCON CROWN BAND contacts for high current density. Additional features of the CROWN BAND contacts include hot pluggability, sequenced mating, probe- proof contacts, and support for various termination styles, including crimp for cable, solder tail and compliant press-fit for mounting to PCB, and internal/external threads for connection to a bus bar.
