Tyco Electronics MID Rochester, NY - Headquarters

The Tyco Electronics MID headquarters is located in Rochester, NY. The epicenter for all of your product design, this facility contains over 20 years of innovation, design, plating expertise and knowledge. All combining to satisfy customers with cutting-edge products year in and year out.

Tyco Electronics MID headquarters has over 80 years of cumulative MID expertise in our employees. Engineering accommodates the needs of the customer with creative designs, innovative solutions, custom packages and competitive pricing. Utilizing high end design software, sales and engineering work closely with the customer and plating operations, through the stages of product conception and design; seamlessly integrating new products into our production launch schedule.

In the center of our facility resides our experienced R D engineering department. Our state-of-the-art technology labs contain the equipment necessary for the development of prototypes, including various processes such as machining, lasering, plating, RF testing and metrology. Our experience and resources sets us apart as the industry's leader - allowing us to meet all of our customer's needs.

Also in the US, MID engineering works closely with Tyco Electronics' Antenna Design Center located in Aptos, California. This facility supports all of our MID antenna designs as well as non-antenna electrical test requirements with advanced development equipment such as onsite 2D Anechoic Chambers, Satimo Near Field Spherical Measurement System and FEM Electromagnetic Modeling.

Tyco Electronics Qingdao, China

The Tyco Electronics facility in Qingdao, China combines tooling, molding, and plating capabilities all under one roof. Capable of designing and building its own tooling, TE Qingdao has a history of proven success with both single- and two-shot molds. In 2007, Tyco Electronics purchased new Sumitomo 85 ton, multi-shot, all electric molding machines.

The latest addition to the Qingdao facility is a state-of-the-art MID plating line; replicating the original processes and designs of the Rochester, NY facility. The Qingdao plating lines are completely automated using a computerized control system and require a minimum of technician interaction which allows for a more controlled environment and reduce process variation. Multiple lines are stationed throughout the facility, offering a variety of plate on plastic options for every customer to choose from. Finished product enters our high-tech inspection room where operators work with recently upgraded RF and visual test equipment to satisfy the most discriminating customers' quality needs. This facility also houses its own waste treatment system, capable of treating/recycling/reusing 85% of the waste generated from the processes, complimenting Tyco Electronics care for its customers with care for the environment.
