P&B circuit breakers include both thermal and magnetic types in ratings from milliamps to 50 amps. The information below may help users to quickly differentiate these two types of P&B circuit protectors:
Thermal circuit breakers
- Typically less expensive.
- Trip point varies with the ambient temperature.
- One- and two-pole models only.
|
Magnetic circuit breakers
- Typically more expensive.
- Temperature stable over a wide range.
- Available with different time delays before tripping.
- One- through four-pole models.
